How to apply
Application Forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centre of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau's website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). Completed application forms should reach the following enquiry address of the recruiting department on or before the closing date for application. Please specify on the envelope “Application for the Position of General Clerk”. To avoid unsuccessful delivery of mail items, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the
envelope and sufficient postage has been paid before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to this Department and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. An applicant will bear any consequences arising from not paying sufficient postage. The postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of application. Applicants must attach copies of their diplomas/certificates, copies of official transcripts of studies and employment proof to their application forms, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered. If applications are late or incomplete, or not made in the prescribed form or not duly signed, or submitted by fax or e-mail, or without copies of the relevant supporting documents, or the relevant supporting documents are received after the closing date for applications or are insufficient, such applications will NOT be considered. Candidates who are selected for selection interview will normally receive an invitation in about five to six weeks from the closing date for applications. Those who are not invited for selection interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful.
