How to apply
(a) Application Forms [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] are obtainable from any Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of District Offices, Home Affairs Department or any Job Centres of the Employment Services Division, Labour Department. The said form can also be downloaded from the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk).
(b) Completed application forms together with copies of local/overseas academic certificates, transcripts and documentary proof of the working experience(s) (if applicable), should be sent to the Administration Unit, Intellectual Property Department on 25/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen’s Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong on or before 8 November 2019 at 6:00 p.m. (Hong Kong Time). Please specify the title of the post being applied for on the envelope.
(c) To avoid delayed or unsuccessful delivery of applications by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage has been affixed before posting. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to the Intellectual Property Department and will be returned to the sender (if a return address is provided) or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate. Applicants will bear any consequences arising from paying insufficient postage. The postmark date on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission of the application form and/or copies of supporting documents.
(d) Applicants may also apply online through the Civil Service Bureau’s website (http://www.csb.gov.hk). For applicants who apply online, they should submit copies of the required supporting documents by post to the above address within one week after the close of application period. The online application number should be quoted on the envelope and the copies of the supporting documents.
(e) Applications which are late, incomplete, not duly signed, submitted by fax or email, not made in the prescribed form [G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013)] or without required photocopies of the above documents will NOT be considered.
(f) Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about sixteen to twenty weeks from the closing date for application. This period may be longer in exceptional circumstances (e.g. when a large number of applications are received or when there are other complications). Those who are not invited for interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. As invitations will be issued by post or by email, applicants should provide accurate correspondence address and email address and ensure that their email accounts can receive incoming emails properly.
