Entry Requirements

The intern should:-
(a) be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor degree or Higher Diploma course (majoring in Logistics and Transport Operations or other related studies) or equivalent of a post-secondary institution locally or overseas;
(b) not be studying or have just completed their final year of study before the internship period commences;
(c) be proficient and have good communication skills in both Chinese and English;
(d) have good English and Chinese typing skills; and
(e) be proficient in the application of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Remarks
 

Duties

The intern will be required to carry out the following tasks:-
(a) To assist in conducting a study of the impact on transport services after the relocation of vehicle depots and propose solutions to enhance the transport services; and
(b) To assist in daily operations in Vehicle Depots.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of around 6 weeks, starting from July 2020. Candidates appointed are normally required to work 44 hours per week. Overtime work, where necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

HK$10,500 per month
Except otherwise provided in the appointment letter, rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), general holidays, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

General Notes

(a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise.

(iii) copy of academic qualification certificates; and
(iv) copy of employment record (if applicable).

Applications not using the prescribed application form for the summer internship programme, or submitted without any one of the required supporting documents, or late submission, will not be processed.
